My new female favorite enka singer is Natsukawa Rimi. She performed the song Hana during the New Year's eve Kouhaku Utagassen . But my favorite is still Nada Sousou. ^_^

Not familiar with that song. All I know is that 'Naniwa' is the old name for 'Osaka'. So I'm guessing, they're called Kanjani because they are Johnny's from Kansai.

I am! Blame Kanjani8 for that because Subaru's voice is enka. Hehe. Have you heard the song Naniwa Iroha Bushi by Kanjani8? Subaru did the intro enka voice.

i'm not really an enka fan...i'm more into j-rock and a little of j-pop. BUT i started to like enka because of 'nodo jiman'. it's this karaoke contest on nhk (sundays 11am) where the participants are locals from a chosen city anywhere in japan. most of the oldies who join the contest prefer enka and...
