    Re: J-movie recommendations

    Battle Royale 1 & 2! Really good...a bit gruesome...yet...great.

The government believes that the kids of this generation are becoming more and more delinquent. So, to prevent the increase of these "bad seeds", the bigwigs got together and passed the BR Act. BR Act = Kids are sent off to an isolated island. The students think that they're just going on a school trip...but little do they know, they're being sent there to kill each other off. (O.o) eh...very unique storyline ne. It's based on a controversial novel, right? But beneath the gory scenes, it teaches a lesson about friendship and trust. watch it watch it! ganda!

(NOTE: Mas madugo ang BR1 kesa sa 2!)

Death Note (haven't watched the sequel yet..but i'm about to! malapit na! XD)

Based on the popular manga with the same title. The anime is also on-going, right.
Anyway, this is about the battle of Light and L. Light is the owner of the DeathNote which can kill people by just writing their names on it. Light uses this chance to set the world straight...free the world from criminals. And so, this becomes a big issue and the "mysterious mass murderer" is nicknamed "Kira". L, the world's greatest detective becomes interested and decided to solve this. L and Light prove which is really on the side of justice.

Pikanchi: Life is Hard dakedo Happy

Yey! Arashi! XDD hahah...anyway, this is a story of 5 friends with very different personalities. Despite these differences, they still continue being friends. They support each other through the hardships each one goes through and they stick together until the end. Basta...ganda nitong movie na toh. Each Arashi member makes their roles very convincing...and favorite character ko si...Haru...ay, okay...di, lahat nlng pla sila...except Aiba's. Kasi ang ordinary nung role ni Aiba eh...so di maxadong na-bring out yung acting skills nya. pero over-all....very good drama! And it is true ne, "Life is hard dakedo Happy". Talagang napakita nila ibig sabihin ng sentence na yan in that movie. So, it's really great.

    Ao no Honoo

--is also a great movie. Starring Ninomiya Kazunari. kaso....tinatamad akong mag-write ng maayos na description.XDD Basta, si Shuichi, ayaw nya dun sa step father nya kasi laging inaabuso ang kanyang ina't kapatid na babae. His long time hatred for this guy eventually leads him to killing him....and the story goes on. Basta...very unexpected twist sa huli! at sayang, dahil di ko na-enjoy ung twist dahil alam ko nang mangyayari un....(>.<) kasi nabasa ko sumwhere. kaasar naman. and i must say....i like how Nino acted here! He's very convincing as a murderer. XDD (waaah...killer eyes!)

Arashi and NewS make me happy~<3 <3 <3

Riidaa and Pi-chan never fail to make me smile~

    >fangirling is what i live for<
    *dun dun dun dun*

    Re: J-movie recommendations

Battle Royale 1&2 - i like the first one though...but the second one is worth it...

Lovely Complex -  this is sooo cute...especially Koike Teppei!!! hehehe...

Kisarazu Cat's Eye (Nihon Series and World Series) - if you like Sakurai Sho and Okada Junichi this is the movie for you...it's sooo funny....and the guys are HOT!!! including Tsukamoto Takashi!!!

Tokyo Tower - kyaaaahhh!!! you'll get nosebleeds when you see this movie...but i must warn you if you're under 16 and can't tolerate HOT naked guys, this movie is not for you....Okada Junichi and MatsuJun are sooo hot in this movie....

Daremo Shiranai(Nobody Knows) - omg!!! this movie is sooo sad...it's about 4 kids living in Tokyo with their mom, but their mom left them to be with a guy...just watch it...it's good!!!

About Love - this is a good movie too...the stories are all in 3 different places but somehow they are all connected to each other...Tsukamoto Takashi and Misaki Ito, and some other guys are in this movie...

Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru(Just, Loving You) - a very moving story...with Tamaki Hiroshi(kyahhh!!!) and the girl from the first NANA (not Nakashima) the other Nana...

Waters - a nice, funny movie about a group of friends who built their own host club...Oguri Shun is in it...

One Missed Call(the very last one) - OMG!!! Horikita Maki scared me in this movie....

Ghost Train - with Sawajiri Erika and Oguri Shun....another freaky movie...

i have lots of movies that i've seen....but it'll take about hours for me to type it all here..hehehe...so i just posted the good ones....

Tamaki Hiroshi! Woohoo! Would love to see him in this. For me, he looks * a bit * like Gackt. Emphasis on a bit,  because the more you look at him, the more he doesn't look like Gackt. Haha!

I do like his voice though. ^___^

    Re: J-movie recommendations

BATTLE ROYALE - Despite the violence and gore, I really think that BR is a very humane movie. Must watch! BR2 is okay, but not as good as BR1. Make sure to watch the Original before the Special Version.

Space Travelers - Comedy starring Takeshi Kaneshiro, Masanobu Ando and Ken Watanabe. It is about a bank robbery gone haywire. The characters are based on the anime, but the story bears no resemblance to it, whatsoever. Very sad ending, but worth watching.

Aoi Haru - A violent highschool flick. Quite deep for a highschool movie, but a really good watch.

Cutie Honey - It is so very, well, cute. Very funny, but like MANY Japanese movies, has dragging life lessons.

Rockers - A movie about a rock band. I haven't seen this movie with subs, but it looks really funny.

Casshern - Amazing eye candy. Amazing soundtrack. Not-so-amusing story, but still worth watching.

Not really Japanese produced films, but worth the watch:

Memoirs of a Geisha - I don't care if the actors are Chinese (I, mean, come on, Zhang Ziyi is hot! And Gong Li was a bee-yatz, but she was really good in this movie). It was a really good movie (Novel aside) and the visuals are stunning.

Letters from Iwo Jima - The only war flick I watched from beginning to end. Kazunari Ninomiya was a good actor, ne? (I remember watching this in Greenbelt, and some girl was screaming "Nino! Nino!" Fangirl ata.)   I dunno why, but  Ken Watanabe's acting was almost exactly like in Memoirs.

Kill Bill vol. 1 Japanese cut - You haven't seen Kill Bill if you haven't seen this cut.
