FINALLY, A KAT-TUN THREAD!
^Only Jin (as Yabuki Hayato) and Kame (as Odagiri Ryu) are in the Gokusen2 drama.
Hmm... What can I say? I fangirl them to the point of bankruptcy. I lead such a sad life. (^-^;
- They're the most popular band right now in Japan.
- They beat Arashi's A RA SHI as the best selling Single of all time. (My inner Arashi fangirl is a bit sad.)
- They've always been told every year that they're going to debut so just wait for a little while but after 3 years, they finally gave up all hopes of ever debuting and then... during early 2006, it was announced that yes, they're going to debut.
- Kame was actually the first one to release a CD, Seishun Amigo, with
Yamashita Tomohisa (Yamapi of NEWS) under another unit, "Shuuji to
Akira" to promote Nobuta wo Produce. You can just imagine what tension
he and AT-TUN went through. Kame actually talked to Johnny-san that he
wants to turn down the offer of releasing a CD because he hasn't
debuted yet with KAT-TUN but Johnny-san told him no and that he should
release a CD and that he shouldn't worry because he's preparing
something for KAT-TUN. Turns out that a few months after, they're going
to FINALLY debut after 5 years.
- They're the first group to be offered a debut with an Album + Single + DVD. Yea, they're pretty special.
- If you watch the Dream Boys Concert 2006 with KAT-TUN and Kanjani8, the background song during the entrance of AT-TUN was the Real Face instrumental. BUT at that time, they haven't debuted yet and they don't even know about any plans of the debut and that their first single would be Real Face. And now everything that Johnny-san does will have a double meaning to me. -___-;
- Their second single, Signal which was released on July 19, 2006 became top1
at the Oricon Charts the same day it was released. It's currently the
top1 at the Monthly Single Chart at Oricon.
- When they started out, they thought it was just a temporary group.
They actually dislike each other before (with the exception of Kame and
Jin who are bestfriends).
- Random info, Ueda punched Kame backstage (it's a long story and don't worry, it's all over now and when they shared it on TV, they were laughing about it) and Kame went to Johnny-san saying he
wants to quit. And Johnny-san, being the weird person that he is told
Kame, "YOU! Kakkoi for fighting with your members! Continue to do so!"
Or something like that. But THANK GOD HE DIDN'T QUIT!
- Kame and Jin are the lead vocalists, Koki's the rapper, Nakamaru's the beatboxer, Ueda's the guitarist and Junno's uh... the acrobat? XD
