Elric:Does anyone know how Shaider ended? I know what happened to them in real life but not in their TV series.
I have finally watched the ending of Shaider. Thanks to the upload in YouTube. The final episode is #48.
In the last episode, Shaider was able to defeat Kubilai (that monster with the round face always mounted in the wall). I always thought that his name was Fuuma but actually Fuuma was a title. So, it's Fuuma Kubilai. Also, Fuuma Army. It's also the army that attacked the other planets.
In this last episode, Kubilai finally detached himself from the wall and got another body but mechanical this time. The reason for the mechanical body (torso with tentacles and legs) was that the ancestor of Shaider was able to separate Kubilai's head from his original body. The original body was encountered by Shaider (Alexis) in an eastern island and defeated it. The place in the island looked like the inside of a pyramid. After the battle, Shaider was locked inside by Poo (the lady who always says: "Time space warp, ngayon din"). Eventually, he found this secret weapon (similar with blue hawk) kept by his ancestor and finally got out.
The weakness of Kubilai was the red eye on his temple. Shaider stabbed it with his blue sword and finally slashed him. Poo said "sayonara" to Shaider and Annie since Kubilai's gone where she apparently gets her "life" from.
Well, peace was restored in the galaxy (with the armies of Fuuma, Makuu and Madou got defeated) and Alexis promised Annie that he would bring her to the Americas and Europe to see what planet Earth has to offer.
(In a special program featuring three "pulis pangkalawakan" heroes-- Gavan, Sharivan and Shaider, Alexis told the two guys that Annie went to Egypt University and became an exchange student. I think she studied Anthropology.)
A very happy ending indeed.
