    CHEMISTRY

Chemistry (ケミストリー Kemisutorī?) is a Japanese pop/R&B duo, composed of Yoshikuni Dōchin (堂珍嘉邦? born November 17, 1978) and Kaname Kawabata (川畑要? born January 28, 1979). They were the winners of the Asayan audition (similar to the American Idol series) in 2000 organized by Sony Music Entertainment Japan.

Their first single "Pieces of a Dream" debuted on March 3, 2001, winning the best selling single in the same year (over 2 millions). Most of the singles released reached #1 in Oricon chart in Japan; and all 5 albums reached #1 in the Chart on the same day when they were released. Their #1 streak was taken off by the Kinki Kids' H album, scoring them a #2 rank for Fo(u)r.

Chemistry is also known in Korea for the popular collaboration song "Let's Get Together Now," featuring talents from both Korea and Japan and hooking up with Korean ballad singer Lena Park who appears in the b-side "Dance with Me" in the "Kimi ga Iru" single. The song is used as the official theme for the FIFA World Cup of 2002 co-hosted by Japan and Korea

I absolutely love this group. People may know them for their song, Wings of Words used as the last OP for Gundam Seed destiny. I got hook to them even way before that anime aired. They really started of as much like a two person Boyband image with Douchin-san being the cool guy and Kawabata-san as the *** thug. Ever since a long time ago, they have shed that image and continue to grow musically as well as in the style department.

They sure are talented, there is no mistake in that. One thing that I am confident of saying is that Japanese talent shows really filter out the bad, the mediocre and the good. Asayan also gave birth to other groups like Morning Musume and Exile.

I made this post because I want to share the love. Also, I find it that there are so little fans of this group from the Philippines. Some of the online friends I made who are also from the Philippines are also fans of the group. But alas, they can only be counted with my fingers.

If you want samples (MP3's) please feel free to PM me and I will try my best to upload it somewhere. I got to share the love!

    Re: CHEMISTRY

honestly inde ko alam, kasi most news of them is in Japanese kasi nga wala sila masyadong fans outside Japan ... and the kanji is killing me.. hahaha... pero they did sold out sunntory hall two times... so thats big accomplishment already... sayang inde pwede sumali sa official fan club nila kapag wala kang address sa japan... hehehehe... astig kasi kapag kasama ka sa official fan club kasi like for last year fans meet for a small fee you get to fly to hawaii and enjoy their company for 3nights and 2 days... oh well....

P ero I can say that they are good!! hehehe... Ok rin sila magcover ng English songs kahit inde sila marunong magsalita... I really liked nung contest days pa nila ginawan nila ng cover ung Cherie Amour and ung Love song by Sir Elton John... hehehe

CHEMISTRY will do another anime OP!!!

This bit of news made my day....

CHEMISTRY has been chosen to provide the theme song for the anime series "Antique" (also known as "Antique Bakery"). The show is based on Fumi Yoshinaga's hit comic series that was turned into a drama in 2001 starring Hideaki Takizawa, Kippei Shiina, Naohito Fujiki, and Koyuki.

In an unprecedented move, CHEMISTRY's song will serve as both the opening theme and ending theme, but with a different arrangement for each. According to Chemistry Club, the song is titled "Life goes on" and will be released on August 20.

"Antique" starts airing on Fuji TV on July 3, in the 12:45am time slot.

Wow. Two of the nice things I enjoy in one show. This is going to be very very nice!!!!
I am actually a bit late with anime news. It seems really as thought BL is embraced openly nowadays. The Fujoshis have made their mark!!
Well this BL show is at most viewer friendly for those that are not really into the stuff. They said the producers will be sticking to the manga storyline so
I expect only very funny acts with charged homoeroctic innuedos and food pron!!!! hehehe
Anyways I will definitely nab this for the OP as well as the anime itself!!!

Sobrang cool nung bago nilang album, ang FACE TO FACE. It's a perfect album to the rainy days na parang pwede ka nang magkape. Shucks, it's their best album yet.

    CHEMISTRY Fan po ako

Fan po ako ng CHEMISTRY. mga 3 years na.  Una ko silang napanood sa video ni Crystal Kay. I was impressed enough with the song kaya ng makahanap ako ng cd nila, binili ko agad. Been a fan since then. Harharhar! Feeling ko nga kapag bumilibili ako ng CHEMISTRY cd, niho-hoard ko lahat.  Adik talaga! harharhar! Favorite song ko ang Pieces of a Dream.

Kunti pa lang ang cds nila na nabili ko. Andami kasing temptation sa ibang favorite ko. Mahirap talaga magmahal ng Hapon. Wah! ang mahal magmahal ng Hapon.
