New single and DVD from Miyavi

The original ore-sama is back with a brand new live DVD and his first new single for 2007! That's right, Miyavi's new DVD "25 Shunen Kinen Koen Tokyo Geijutsu Gekijo 5 Days -Dokuso-" is coming May 2, with his first new single for 2007 "Sakihokoru Hana no Yo ni" due out June 20, 2007.

First, Miyavi's new DVD includes footage of Miyavi's 5-day-only live performance at the Tokyo Arts Theater. His only Japanese performances for all of 2006, this concert series revolved solely on Miyavi's acoustic guitar-and-vocals "Dokuso" style performance, with support from percussionists, human beat boxes, tap dancers, and more. A decidedly analog affair, this "Dokuso" performance DVD shows off the artistic side of Miyavi, in addition to the musician you know and love.

Miyavi's new single "Sakihokoru Hana no Yo ni" is also coming soon. The new single features the two songs "Sakihokoru Hana no Yo ni" and "Kabuki BOIZ," plus bonus Dokuso version of the title track. Order the limited edition to receive a bonus DVD with the music video for "Sakihokoru Hana as well!

Japanese rock guitarist Miyavi will be in Shanghai for a solo concert next Friday.

Miyavi plays guitar in supergroup Skin. Before that he was guitarist for Due le Quartz, which disbanded in 2002.

He launched his solo career with the album "Gagaku," and signed with PS Company until he joined Universal Japan, becoming a major label artist. His album "Miyavi" was released in 2005.

Dazzling costume changes, direct lines, and simple melodies distinguish Miyavi's style, winning him fans across Asia.

Known for his elaborate guitar skills, great voice and charisma, Miyavi crosses genres and has experimented with pop, rock, acoustic, blues and hip-hop, to just to name a few.
