<P align=justify><FONT face=Century size=2>The JF, Manila Lecture Series is in pursuit of the Japan Foundation’s objective of enhancing mutual understanding through the promotion of human exchange among those who seek professional encouragement, and further development in the field of Japanese Studies and Japanese-Language Education in the Philippines.
<P align=justify><FONT face=Century size=2>The topic for this session is in line with JFM’s “Textbook Project Weekly Workshop” which gathers together Nihongo teachers to think through the various problem points in the textbooks, and in the conduct of their classes.
<P align=justify><FONT face=Century size=2>The first half of the session will have Ms. Yuki Nakao, a graduate student of the Osaka University of Foreign Studies to speak about her research on the particle [<FONT face="MS Mincho" size=2>?<FONT face=Century size=2>]. Her talk will introduce the various uses of this particle.
<P align=justify><FONT face=Century size=2>For the second half of the session, participants are expected to utilize the insights they gained from Ms. Nakao’s lecture in a workshop, that aims to come up with better ways to explain the particle <FONT face="MS Mincho" size=2>???<FONT face=Century size=2>in the “Minna no Nihongo” textbook.
