A few new additions to my bento staples list:
Lucban longanisa - Aside from frying it, I can also take it out of the casing and use in place of ground beef/pork in sauces and stir fry dishes.
Chicken fillets - andaming pwedeng gawin kasi sa kanya
Fish fillets - I love having my curry fish fillets

Re: my furikake
Another addition to my bento staples: microwaveable korokke! Nakabili ako nito sa Chotto Stop for P148 for a pack of 10 pieces. I have a kabocha flavored one and a kani cream one. Ang sarap nung kabocha. Medyo matamis tamis sya tsaka kitang kita mo yung squash sa loob.

Re: Your bento staples
I'll admit, I'm actually pretty bad when it comes to letting myself run out of quintessential ingredients, but I never ever run out of pasta (so if worst comes to worst, I can always throw together a quick pasta bento), nearly always have rice, and I always have nori....but to prove my point, I just ran out of soy sauce...so another thing that needs to go on the grocery list.

Re: Your bento staples
Yes, pasta is a definite staple. As long as you have pasta, you will never go hungry
