Re: How to be a seiyuu
Wow!
To display your gender, kindly follow the instructions: How to enable gender field

Otakon Reveals Voice Guests Mamiko Noto, Tomokazu Seki
The Otakon 2007 convention announced its first Japanese guests: veteran character voices Mamiko Noto and Tomokazu Seki.
Noto is best known for her lead roles such as Trinity Blood's Esther and Witchblade anime's Masane, as well as many supporting roles. However, she has also sung theme songs for Hell Girl, Negima!, and Witchblade.
Seki has played dozens of lead roles in his career from Nodame Cantabile's Shinichi and Saiunkoku Monogatari's Ryuuki to Fruits Basket's Kyo and Escaflowne's Van. As a member of the Weiß quartet, he has also put together music CDs with three voice-acting friends.

Yomiuri Interview with Hirano Aya
Voice actress Aya Hirano, 20, is the top star of Japan's anime
world. She holds concerts, hosts a radio show and appears in books of
pinups like a pop idol. But Hirano says she would rather focus on her
activities as a voice actor. Hirano talked about her feelings toward
the job and anime in a recent interview with The Yomiuri Shimbun.
On Nov. 2, she sang six of her songs at a concert Nippon
University's Tokorozawa campus in Saitama Prefecture, as part of an
annual festival.
"Ooops! I bit my tongue!" she said to her audience during the
performance. The fans quickly responded by asking her: "Are you OK?"
During the concert, the venue, a large lecture room, was filled with
loud applause and fans' "Hey! Hey! Hey!" calls for the star.
The 500 tickets for the concert were sold out only five minutes after they went on sale.
Hirano's big break came in 2006 when she was cast as the voice of
Haruhi Suzumiya, the title character of sci-fi anime series: Suzumiya
Haruhi no Yuutsu (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya).
The title of the concert--"Tada no Gakuensai ni wa Kyomi
Arimasen!"--("I'm not interested in ordinary school festivals")--comes
from a phrase that Haruhi often utters in the story: "Tada no ningen ni
wa kyomi arimasen" (I'm not interested in ordinary people).
When Haruhi introduces herself in the first scene of the original
novel, she follows up on this line by saying to her classmates: "If
there are aliens, people from the future or other worlds, and people
with supernatural powers, in here, come to me! That's all."
When the eccentric self-introduction by the heroine was spoken by
Hirano in the anime version, it vividly portrayed the delicate mind of
a young girl who tries to act grown-up. The performance ensured that
Hirano's name would be distinctly remembered by many fans.
"The hazy feeling of Haruhi is peculiar to kids of that age, I
think. [At the time] I sometimes felt my performance was too unstable
to portray Haruhi in various stages of melancholy. But it might have
worked to express Haruhi's emotional feelings. Anyway, that was a voice
I could make only at the time, I believe." <a href="http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/dy/features/arts/20071207TDY13001.htm" mce_href="http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/dy/features/arts/20071207TDY13001.htm">Read more from Yomiuri Shinbun
