Japinoy.com is the premier online Philippine community dedicated to fostering greater interest in all things Japanese. We aim to build a fun and informative online community for Pinoys to learn more about Japan and everything about it.


Japinoy.com is created with the purpose of uniting all Japan aficionados, especially in the Philippines and in Japan. At present, there is no online community that exists specifically to promote and discuss Japan and everything about it. Though there are similar online groups and communities, these are made for certain organizations and membership in these communities is most often exclusively for organization members only.


Membership in Japinoy.com, on the other hand, is open to all Filipinos, Japanese and people of other nationalities who wish to discuss their Japan-related passion and wish to broaden their general knowledge of Japan.


2. Who manages Japinoy.com?
Japinoy.com is managed by a team of dedicated administrators and moderators, who all have a deep interest in everything Japanese. They are professionals who have experiences in various aspects of the Japanese fields—scholars, IT engineers, managers and government officers—in Japan and in the Philippines.


They breathe, eat, drink and live Japanese and they make sure that Japinoy.com remains a fun, wholesome and informative online community for all Japan-o-philes.


3. What can I do with Japinoy.com?
Currently, Japinoy.com features forums related to different topics on Japan. Here you can find useful information about Japan or anything related to Japanese like Nihongo, food, anime, drama and jobs. Interact with fellow members with the same interests as you. You can also share your knowledge of Japan and learn from others as well.

4. Who can join Japinoy.com?
Japinoy.com is especially created for Filipinos in the world who are interested in things Japanese and would like to learn more about this fantastic country. Japanese and other nationalities are also welcome!


5.I’m a Japanese; can I join your site?
Definitely! You are very welcome to participate in various forum discussions. We encourage native Japanese speakers to join our “The Tea Room” forum under the “Nihongo” forum group.


6. I’m neither a Filipino nor Japanese; can I join your site?
There’s no problem with that as long as you understand our discussions and as long as you love anything Japanese, you are more than welcome to join our forums.


7. It seems I do not know where to place a new thread in the forums listed. Can you help me?
Well, we did say that this is a site for everything Japanese so you may find a topic that seems to be unfit in a forum.


Forums have short descriptions to guide you in finding the correct forum to post under. But in case you did start a thread in the wrong forum, the moderators will just move your thread to the appropriate category.


8. Can I also start a new thread but not Japanese-related?
Although the site is about Japanese things, there are forums that allow you to make posts that are not Japanese related. These forums are:
  • “Dojo” and “Feedback” under the forum group “You Say”;
  • “Job Postings” and “Services” under the forum group “Career & Freelance Opportunities”; and
  • Both forums under the forum group “The Marketplace”.
    All the rest should be Japanese-related.



9. Why are there ads in your site?
We need the ads to fuel our site. Without the ads, we can't host the site, buy bandwidth and diskspace and especially maintain the domain, Japinoy.com. Also the ads are there to complement or supplement the topics that interest you. We do our best so to ensure that the ads won’t interfere with your visit.
