    Di ba sa Japanese, X (batsu) kapag mali?

    Sa pag-check ng papel, slash ang ginagamit pag mali.

    Anong slash ito? Upper-left to lower-right?

    upper right to lower left,, kaya mukhang check,,

    Sa pagsulat ng dates.

    Japan: year, month, day. (una yr)

    Phils: month, day, year. (huli yr)

    Ah... thanks, enella09-san. Di ko lang siguro napapansin kasi puro "maru" tinitignan ko nun sa Nihongo class ko. Hehe.

    =====

    Napadaan ako sa isang salon dito sa Manila tapos bigla kong naalala difference ng salon dito sa Japan...

    Yung hair stylist ng Pilipinas habang nagaabang ng customer ay may mga ginagawa: pwede siyang manood ng TV, magbasa ng magazine, makipag-tsismisan, mag-text, atbp. Sa Japan, habang naghihintay ng customer ang isang stylist ay nakatayo lang. Wala nang ibang ginagawa. Parang security guard. Basically nakatayo siya buong araw kasi kung may customer man nakatayo siyang nag-gugupit bale.

    Grabe ito. Lahat ng salon na nadaanan ko sa Japan, mga stylist nila nakatingin lang sa isang sulok at nakatayo buong shift nya habang naghihintay ng customer. That's some discipline.

    Re: The opposites of Japan and the Philippines

    Sa Japan, ang mga homeless o palaboy dun hindi mo mahahalata. They look like everybody else. Pero nung sinubukan kong mag-investigate, nakita ko naglalatag na sila ng matutulugan sa mga subway stations around 10 pm. Yung iba naglalagay ng mga barong-barong sa likod ng mga parks saka tabi ng mga garbage heap. Sa araw, hindi mo sila madidifferentiate. Hindi sila marungis saka hindi sila yung talagang namamalimos. Pero pag malalim na gabi, saka mo lang sila makikita.

    Re: The opposites of Japan and the Philippines

    Hehe, baka. Yun ang isa sa mga tagong mukha ng Tokyo. Siguro Wigent-san, nakita mo na rin sila habang nandun ka.

    Kawawa talaga sila, lalo na't madalas eh nagiging biktima pa sila ng mga juvenile crimes. Either pinagbababato sa bench habang natutulog, sinisira yung barong-barong, o kaya eh iniitsa sila sa garbage heap. Marami pa naman sa mga palaboy dun eh mga matatanda.

    Nagtataka lang ako kung bakit wala pa akong nakikitang taong grasa dun...

    Alam ko ma-pride mga Hapon at kahit mga mahihirap meron din nun. Ayaw nila sigurong tignan silang mababa kaya walang taong grasa sa kanila. Pati na rin siguro dun sa mga natutulog sa kalye--ayaw rin nilang makita mga taong naaawa sa kanila.

    Isa pang opposite natin sa mga Hapon: mahilig mag-anak ang mga Pinoy maski di kayang palakihin ng maayos ang pamilya, samantalang ang mga Hapon, ayaw na mag-anak kaya may population crisis sila. Dumarami ang matatanda, pero di nadadagdagan ng batang population.

    Naka-attend ako dati ng isang talk ni Sec. Neri (nung nasa NEDA pa lang sya) at sinabi nya, gamitin daw natin ang ating population as "asset", tulad ng ginagawa ng Japan. Rather than look at a large population as a liability, we should look at it as an asset. Madaling sabihin, mahirap gawin. RP simply does not have the means to turn our population into an asset - with the state of our educational system, I don't know how else it can be done.

    Nakabasa ako ng isang article about 2 months ago. Mga teenagers, sinunog ang isang homeless. Trip lang ata nila. Dyan na lumalabas ang pagiging krung krung ng mga batang Hapon ngayon.

    Re: The opposites of Japan and the Philippines

    ang pagkaka-alala ko, pag nagsuot ka ng footwear mo na galing sa labas, parang may superstitious belief sila na pag pinasok mo sa isang japanese hauz, parang kasi may sign ng death ata?

    japanese: verbal agreement is aready a hefty task that everyone must be committed what is agreed during the talk.

    pinoy: may written contract na... nagbi-breach pa rin. kaya sa mga korte dito, tambak ang trabajo. kaya, hayun! iniisip natin na tinutulugan na lang nila.

    Japanese Government: The constituents of the Japanese Government give very high regards to their office. They honor it so much that if they did something to ruin this honor, they consider giving up their positions.

    Philippine Government: Parang mga buwaya sa pagnanakaw sa kaban ng bayan at pagdungis sa dangal ng gobyerno ang ilang mga nasa kinauukulan. Patuloy sa pagsasamantala at panlalamang sa mamamayan, at may kapal pa ng mukhang panatilihin ang sarili sa puwesto.

    This would be my last activist statement as a UP student. n_n

    Re: The opposites of Japan and the Philippines

    @emperorcaius-san:

    Mashado nmng romantic ang tingin mo s gov't ng Japan! haha. Totoo na sa corruption, malayong malayo pa ang Japan para maabutan ang Pinas. But I don't think it's primarily honor that pushes gov't officials to give up their positions. hehehe Unang una, iba ang system of gov't nila. Dahil Parliament ung kanila, if you lose the support of the majority of the legislative body, wla na. There's no other option but to resign.. kaysa naman mapahiya.

    And another thing, may mga issue rin sila ng corruption. Marami nga akong nakausap na sinasabing ung mga politicians na nila ay corrupt. Gusto ko nga lng sagutin na, corrupt na yan sa inyo, ano pa kaya ung tawag dito sa Pinas. hahaha! @__@

    I don't think there's a country in this world that isn't tarnished by corruption. iba ibang levels lng ng corruption. Japan is way below Phils' level.
