    Re: Kuitan

Grabe. Napanood ko na special (season 1) nito at para kang na-warp sa ibang Jdorama. Para ngang naging 3-in-1 Jdoramas.

Sa special they ate "Agnes Pudding." Saan pa eh di sa "My Boss, My Hero." Then while walking in the street Kuitan met Kame (Kattun) in his usual dirty look in the dorama "Tatta Hitotsu no Koi." Which was also shot in Yokohama like Kuitan. Kakatuwa!!!

I think the three doramas were shown in different seasons last year. Parang promotion ito sa dalawang doramas. Hehe.

    Kuitan episode 3

    Kuitan episode 3

Ryousuke is chosen to participate in a gourmet quiz show on TV and drags Kuitan as his partner (since he knows a lot about food).

    The gourmet quiz show

The Tantei Team (Detective Team) is off to a good start

During the show's taping, game show host Kawakami-san collapses. It was later found out that it was caused by an allergic reaction to buckwheat (sobako). The prime suspect was the show's food coordinator (and Ryousuke's kouhai at university), Hitomi, who may have a grudge against the host for his advances towards her.

Hitomi maintains she was aware of his allergy to sobako, and denies that she used any for the food in the set. Ryousuke, desperate to help Hitomi, begs Kuitan to help prove her innocence. Kuitan is more than happy to oblige and eats up all the food in search for sobako ^_^

No episode summary and spoilers for this one. You have to watch it for yourself. Harhar.

    Kuitan in search for sobako

Not really significant, but I took a screenshot of him because he was in Densha Otoko -- the Hanshin Tigers fan from Osaka ^_^ Kitaaa!

Tama doraman-san. Siya yung pumunta pa ng Tokyo para hanapin yung girlfriend niyang Korean hostess. Sa Densha Otoko ata pinakita na Korean siya.

    Kuitan episode 4

    Kuitan episode 4

Yamada Fusae-san pays a visit to the Holmes Agency with a request: to look for her 26-year-old grandson Kouhei who has been missing.

    Yamada Kouhei, missing.

At first, Ryousuke was not too keen on accepting the case, since 'missing persons' are always very difficult. However, Fusae-san's 2 million yen made him agree right away. Fusae-san also promised another 2 million when they find Kouhei. It was also arranged that she will stay at the detective agency until her grandson is found (hey, who could refuse, anyway?)

(Left) The gang, enjoying Fusae-san's Yukimi Nabe; (Right) A yummy breakfast courtesy of Fusae-san

Fusae-san is a joy to have around the agency. She is a great cook who teaches Kyoko many things about cooking. She is as passionate about food as Kuitan. She dotes on Kindaichi as if he were her own grandson, and her delicious food always makes Ryousuke come home early for dinner.

Ryousuke's initial investigation led him to Kouhei's former boss at the sports shop where the missing man last worked. According to the boss, Kouhei was fired - he was obsessed with internet stock trading and was not doing his work properly. Soon after he left the shop, he lost all his money and got deep in debt. Ryousuke then visited Kouhei's apartment, only to find it locked and letters were piling up outside. It seems Kouhei has not stepped foot inside his place for a long time.

Kuitan, Ryousuke and Kindaichi pays a visit to Kouhei's parents to find out more about their son. The father no longer recognizes Kouhei as his son; it was from him that Kuitan and company learned that Fusae-san's 4 million yen was to be used to pay for her stay at a group home (a home for the aged). Ryousuke feels bad accepting Fusae-san's money when it was supposed to be used for her group home. Their last leg of the investigation is a visit to the nearby mountain onsen (hot spring) where they relaxed in the calming hot waters -- well, Kuitan and Kindaichi did; Ryousuke sneaked off to look for some beautiful naked women. After the onsen, they had their tummies warmed with hot nabe, made with fresh mountain vegetables.

(Left) Kuitan and Kindaichi, relaxing in the onsen; (Right) Delicious nabe (again)

End of episode summary, bwahahaha! Just like the 3rd episode, I'm not going to tell the rest of the story. You have to watch it; I assure you, seeing Kuitan is time well spent  ^_^ Ja ne~

    Kuitan episode 5

    ***WARNING: This post contains spoilers***

    Kuitan episode 5

Yappari, this has to be my favorite episode of the series ^_^ The story opens a couple of days before Valentine's Day. A girl (Rei-chan), who happens to be Kindaichi's classmate -- and crush, drops by Holmes Agency with a request: for Holmes to find out if her crush, Fujiwara-kun, has a girlfriend already.

Meanwhile, another big case develops and Kuitan was called to help. A pastry chef, Takeuchi Natsuko, was murdered in a shop where she was dining in.  Their biggest clue was a cake left at the scene, that Kuitan almost ate, had it not been for the quick Anti-Tasting Squad brought by Igarashi. This cake was not made nor sold in the shop where Takeuchi was murdered.

(Left) Yummy cakes (Right) The Anti-Tasting Squad protects the evidence from Kuitan

The police learned that 2 days before, a previous victim (Asai Kaoru) died in a similar way, and a cake from the 2nd shop (where Takeuchi was killed) was left there. Now they know that the cake will lead them to the next victim.

At the police headquarters, Kuitan is about to test the 'evidence' (to find out where it was made) when he noticed strange markings on the cake's side.

(Left) Kuitan, ready to eat; (Right) Chocolate cake with strange markings

Kuitan and the police's further investigation lead them to a culinary school, where the two victims studied. Kuitan, in his quest to find the exact same cake, took the opportunity to sample the students' masterpieces.

Now you understand why this is my favorite episode? ^_^

Now, with the help of Kyoko and Rei-chan (who were making giri-choco for Valentine's), Kuitan learned that the strange markings he found on the cake was made by a rice cooker. The next victim is a housewife and not a pastry chef. Kyoko checks the list of the culinary school students and found one who is a housewife, Sakai Yasuko. Incidentally, this woman had previously given a cake to her classmate Fukuda Yukio.

Momo-chan pursued Fukuda alone until they reached an empty theater; while she had the upperhand for a while, Fukuda managed to take Momo-chan's pistol. Igarashi, Ryousuke and Kindachi manage to catch up, but cannot help Momo-chan. Finally, Kuitan arrives and tries to talk to Fukuda about calming down and throwing down the pistol and eating chocolates together, but Fukuda was not listening and fired at Kuitan's chocolate.

An angered Kuitan was ready to take on Fukuda's bullet and does it ala-Matrix, while trying to catch the bullet with his chopsticks.  Alas, he missed the bullet; it bounces off his chopsticks, and went straight to -- Igarashi's chest.

(Left) Fukuda holds Momo-chan hostage; (Right) Kuitan does the Matrix thing

Relax, Igarashi was ok -- hurt, but ok. His daughter, Rei-chan (yep, the girl at the start of the story), rushes to his bedside, where they had a heart-to-heart father-daughter talk. They have been separated for a while and Rei-chan's mom had recently remarried; Igarashi had been avoiding Rei-chan, because he wanted to be sensitive to the new family -- to which Rei-chan responded that whatever happens, he will still be her dad (and her Valentine). Awww...

Rei-chan's homemade chocolate for her dad, Igarashi

Meanwhile, back at Holmes, the three 'boys' were delighted when they got their own chocolates from Kyoko: "Love" for Ryousuke (which she insists was a joke), Miyuki for Kindaichi, and a pair of gold chopstick-shaped chocolates for Kuitan. All was well Stick out tongue

Yup, matagal na ang Shounentai...pero active pa rin sila ngayon. They recently had PLAYZONE2007, which is their yearly musical show. Pero may kanya kanyang project na sila. Nabasa ko na si Kuitan ay may position din within JE. ^_^

Torture ang panoorin ito. Pero dahil enjoy ako, titiisin ko ang gutom ko...I loved the ending theme. Yung Napolitan band ni Kuitan, Ryosuke-kun at Kindaichi. Ang galing sumayaw talaga ni Kuitan.
