Mr. Children in HOME stadium live

Popular 4-member band Mr. Children held a concert on the 9th at Yokohama's Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Sakurai Kazutoshi (37) says "We have thought what HOME is about...for us, HOME is music that is dear to us". The band performed a total of 24 songs, including "Tabidachi no Uta", their new single scheduled for release on October 31.

 The band Mr.Children is providing the theme song to the Fuji TV medical drama "Code Blue," which was publicly announced last month. Their last drama theme song was "Shirushi," used in "14-sai no Haha."

The new song is titled "HANABI." The release date has not been decided.

"Code Blue," which stars Tomohisa Yamashita, Yui Aragaki, and Erika Toda, starts its run on July 3.

Nine months since the release of their last single, Tabidachi no Uta, Mr.Children returns with a triple release in 2008 that will last you through the summer!

The first release will be a new single, GIFT, to be released on 2008.7.30. and will be used as the theme song for NHK's broadcast of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Directly the week after the new single, the band will offer a new DVD titled Mr.Children "HOME" TOUR 2007 ~in the field~, which features their 15th anniversary memorial live last September in Tokyo. The DVD will come with a 160-page photo booklet.

The third release will again take the form of a single. The new single, HANABI, will be released on 2008.9.3. and will be the theme song of Fuji TV's new summer drama "Code Blue -Doctor Heli Kinkyuu Kyomei-," starring Yamashita Tomohisa, Aragaki Yui, and Toda Erika.

Popular band Mr. Children will appear for the first time in the New Year's eve extravaganza, Kouhaku Utagassen, and will perform their song "GIFT".

The band's number will be broadcast via relay from NHK's biggest studio, Studio 101, which is located beside the NHK Shibuya Hall. Singer Gackt also performed from the same studio in last year's Kouhaku Utagassen. Approximately 300 people will be included in the backup chorus for Mr. Children.
