Otsuka Ai sings 19 songs at birthday live

Singer-songwriter Otsuka Ai celebrated her 25th birthday and 4th year anniversary yesterday (Sep 9) with a birthday live concert at Hibiya, Tokyo.

Otsuka blew out a candle on a cake decorated with the Kanji 「愛」 (ai) while the crowd of 3,000 sings Otsuka's own song 'Birthday Song'. (Picture below)

Otsuka then performed a total of 19 songs including PEACH and CHU-LIP from her new album "Love Piece" (out on Sep 26th). She also performed the single "Poketto (Pocket - Tentative title), scheduled for release in November.

With her new album yet to come, Ootsuka Ai has already announced her 16th single, ポケット (Pocket), to be released on 2007.11.7 in CD+DVD and CD-only formats. The song was first revealed during her LOVE IS BORN 3rd Anniversary concert, and is described as a ballad that will warm your heart in the coming winter.

I really tried to like Otsuka Ai, but I can't. Masyadong matinis ung boses nya, parang nakakabasag ng eardrum. Di lang talaga ako mahilig sa style na ganun, parang cartoons ang boses. Kala ko kasi magugustuhan ko ung Peach, kasi OST ng Hana Kimi. Isang song lang niya talaga ang nagustuhan ko, ung Planetarium.

pero lahat halos ng songs nya pasok s chart,like last friday..me banggumi si tamori san "music station",countdown ng naki uta at age uta,most of her songs ay pasok.

Cat-san, i agree!  Sayang yung songs niya kasi masyadong high-pitched yung voice niya. nakikinig ako sa kanya because of her songs only. minsan talaga ay masakit sa tenga pag pinakikinggan ko siya >.<

siguro nga yuko-san.. nasanay narin ako. ^_^  my first song of hers was Amaenbo.. and then followed by Sakuranbo. nung time na yun, akala ko bata yung kumakanta kaya okay lang. tas nung makita ko xa, i was like, "whaaaaat?!".. ayun..

nagustuhan ko talaga xa dahil sa Planetarium ^_^   hindi ko pa alam nun na OST pala yun ng HYD..  i was watching this Moon Child fan vid tas yun yung music.. and then i said to myself na tatangkilikin ko forever itong kumakantang to ^_^

Singer Otsuka Ai (25) held a special Christmas live on December 2nd at Tokyo's Omotesando Hills.

Otsuka delivered a special Christmas message in front of an 11-metre Christmas tree that glistened with 300,000 crystals.
