Jhouse-Rock and MegaCon 2008 have announced that two members of Vidoll, Jui and Rame, will be attending the convention as special guests. They will participate in events throughout the weekend.

Ahehe!  Nope, Laruku is not VK. Although in the early days medyo gypsy-like or weird ang attire nila, they are not VK.  The band members themselves, especially tetsu (bass), have stated firmly that they are not VK.  A lot of media people still tag them as VK though, may diprensya ata ang mata at pandinig ng mga ito, lol!

no no no! Laruku is not VK! ^____^   may time pa nga raw na hindi nila sinipot yung isang guesting nila dahil ang pagpapakilala sa kanila ay VK band sila ^____^   HYDE looks so pretty in their indies days, though. hehe ^___^

Oh I meant to say that may diprensya ang ears nila kasi sinabihan na sila pero they don't seem to get the message, lol!  Nowadays kasi, some media still call Larc VK, and the band members are tired of correcting this concept, so they don't bother to do so anymore.

As for the incident mentioned by Rinoa-san above, it was a Pop Jam guesting back in 99.  They were supposed to perform 2 songs that time.  After the 1st perf, they went backstage.  When it was time to do the 2nd song, wala na sila.  Although sabi ni tetsu di naman daw talaga sila nag-walkout (he even explained it in an interview about what really happened that time, nagkagulo lang daw yung mga performance scheds and whatever, actually medyo malabo yung explanation nya).  Personally, I think they did walkout coz they were re-introduced as VK by the host.  Meticulous pa naman ang Laruku pagdating sa mga ganyang bagay, especially tetsu.

correct me if im wrong pero yung pagpapakalbo ng Laruku dati diba ay related din sa pagtawag sa kanila as a VK band...?

That was just a gimik of theirs, hehe!  You know how they love to surprise people.  That "kalbo" poster was shown on that same Pop Jam ep, if I remember correctly. lol!
