    MISIA

MISIA to perform first overseas concert in Taiwan

On September 29, singer MISIA will perform her first overseas concert, at the Hsinchuang Stadium in Taipei, Taiwan. MISIA first found popularity in Taiwan when the 2000 Fuji TV drama series "Yamato Nadeshiko" was broadcast there. Her theme song, "Everything," was a hit. In 2002, her best album also went on to sell well in Taiwan.

In Japan, MISIA continues to grow in popularity. She has been chosen to sing the new theme for Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV." The song will be used starting in October.

Medyo late na rin akong 'mamulat' kay MISIA. Ngayon ko lang talaga siya nagugustuhan. Before, I never bothered to listen to her. Ngayon, enjoy na enjoy na ako talaga. ^_^ Iba ang quality ng boses niya kasi.

Re: MISIA three new singles - March, April and May 2008!

The theme song for Kwak Jae-Yong's "Cyborg Girl" (also known as "Boku no Kanojo wa Cyborg") is being sung by MISIA. The song, titled "Yakusoku no Tsubasa," is a love ballad similar to her 2000 hit "Everything."

"Cyborg Girl" is a romantic comedy in the same vein as the director's previous hits, "My Sassy Girl" and "Windstruck." Mataichiro Yamamoto is producing, and the all-Japanese cast is led by Haruka Ayase and Keisuke Koide. The movie is being released in Japan this May. Tokyograph

MISIA to go on Asian tour

Singer MISIA, who celebrated the 10th anniversary of her debut in February, has announced that she will embark on her first concert tour throughout Asia. The tour will start in Taipei on August 30 and end in Hong Kong in early October, stopping along the way in Singapore, Shanghai, and Seoul. It is estimated that a total of 70,000 fans will attend the five shows.

MISIA performed for the first time overseas when she held a concert in Taipei last September. She had become popular there due to the success of Fuji TV's drama series "Yamato Nadeshiko," which used her "Everything" as its theme song.

The singer's new CD+DVD package "DECIMO X ANIVERSARIO DE MISIA" has just gone on sale in Japan. Tokyograph

MISIA is the ONLY Japanese female singer who can drive me to tears with her song!! I so love her!! It's probably good that I forgot my Paypal password, or I would've bought a couple more MISIA CDs from Japan...Big Smile

Bakit ako lang ang fan ni MISIA dito??

Re: MISIA to go on Asian tour

I also admire MISIA. She's comparable to other JPop divas like Mika Nakashima and Ayumi Hamasaki but her voice blows me off.

    Some recommendations:

1 - Hi no Ataru Basho - The ultimate chill-out song. Old-skool RnB. IMHO much better than Automatic by Hikaru Utada

    2 - over bit - another chill-out song

3 - Ishindenshin, Royal Chocolate Flush and Dance Dance - Good enough for dance parties.

4 - MEGA MISIA REMIX 10th Anniversary - Single track from disc 02 of EIGHTH WORLD. Probably the best medley I've ever heard.
