ELLEGARDEN invades Hollywood

In front of a crowd of approximately 300-400, ELLEGARDEN rocked out at Knitting Factory, Hollywood, on July 24, 2007.

The 4-member band toured the US last year but never made a stop in Los Angeles.

Vocalist Hosomi told the enthusiastic crowd in his fluent English that the LA crowd was even better than the one they received at SXSW last year in Austin, TX.

To promote their latest album ELEVEN FIRE CRACKERS for a US release, ELLEGARDEN was all fired up and performed all their English songs from the album in the set, as well as many classics from previous albums, such as Red Hot, Marry Me, Missing, I Hate It, Supernova, The Autumn Song, etc.

Their punk-pop-rock sound gave nobody a break, and the whole floor was shaking the entire night, with arms waving all over the place.

They even came out for two separate encores because the crowd just refuse to let them leave!

The Chiba natives formed the band almost eight years ago, and now with five albums under their belt, the band is ready to explore the US market.

Under Dynamord Records, even though ELLEGARDEN is still technically considered an indie band, their singles and albums have consistently atop the major music charts in Japan whenever they were released.

Although most of ELLEGARDEN’s lyrics were in English, language has never been an issue for them in Japan, and the Japanese have greatly embraced ELLEGARDEN’s music, as proven by the popularity and success in their CD sales and nationwide tours.

With the language barrier out of the way, is the US ready for ELLEGARDEN?

ELEVEN FIRE CRACKERS will hit the stores on July 31, 2007, and is already available digitally on iTunes and Nettwerk store.

Aynaku, nagulat akong Japanese band pala ang mga ire. Akala ko Good Charlotte na yung pinakikinggan ko. In fairness, ang ganda ng diction and in good grammar naman sila.

ELLEGARDEN has been in the process of creating a new album since last year, owever, during the band's activities, there arose a difference in opinion regarding the motivation for creating a new album.
We no longer feel we are able to create an album that we would be satisfied with, and after much discussion we arrived at the conclusion to end the creation of the album and suspend the band's activities indefinitely.
All previously decided shows (including shows not yet announced) up until early September 2008 will still be performed.

We want to thank everyone who has supported ELLEGARDEN from the bottom of our hearts.
In order to once again create new music as ELLEGARDEN, each of us wants to work on our own personal growth and development.
Thank you for everything.

^__^ i love ellegarden's music, it's a pity they have troubles like that. i like the messages their songs bring, like that of Bare Foot & Mr. Feather. Even funny songs like the Pizza Man that have a strong LSS factor. Red Hot music video is kinda funny too:D even if they stop making such great music, i would still listen to their songs till my ears puke hehehe[:O]

Like Southern All Stars, they're currently in Hiatus.

All I can say is that... THEIR MUSIC IS TOO LOUD.

I've tried hearing No. 13 and it blew my ears away.

Since September pa sila on hiatus.
Btw, their vocalist Takeshi Hosomi is working on his solo album under a different label.
