Kamenashi Kazuya, fondly called Kame or Kame-chan by fans, is an actor, singer and pop idol. He is part of the JE groups, KAT-TUN (/forums/thread/1237.aspx) and Shuuji to Akira (with Yamashita Tomohisa (/forums/thread/3641.aspx)). He was born in Tokyo on February 23, 1986.

He is the youngest member of KAT-TUN (/forums/thread/1237.aspx) and while he is not the official leader of the group, he often leads his groups in their TV shows and concerts because of his outgoing personality and his MC skills.

He starred in Gokusen 2 (/forums/thread/155.aspx) with fellow KAT-TUN (/forums/thread/1237.aspx) member, Akanishi Jin in 2005 then with Tanaka Koki (/forums/thread/5984.aspx) (also of KAT-TUN (/forums/thread/1237.aspx)) in Tatta Hitotsu no Koi (/forums/thread/4917.aspx) in 2006.

He and Yamashita Tomohisa (/forums/thread/3641.aspx) starred in the hit dorama Nobuta wo Produce (/forums/thread/1017.aspx), and sang the theme <span style="font-style: italic;">Seishun Amigo. They released the same song as a single under their NwP names 'Shuuji to Akira' and later, it became the Number 1 best selling single on the Oricon Yearly Single Rankings for 2005. KAT-TUN (/forums/thread/1237.aspx) debuted a few months later with their single, <span style="font-style: italic;">Real Face, which sold a million copies after only nine weeks.

Kame is an endorser for NTT Docomo, Lotte, Oronamin C, Nintendo Game Cube and Crunky Chocolate.

Kame, despite his young career as an actor, has already won acting awards. He was hailed as Best Supporting Actor for Gokusen 2 (/forums/thread/155.aspx) by the 44th Television Drama Academy Awards and the 8th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix, then finally, a Best Actor Award for his performance in Nobuta wo Produce (http://www.japinoy.com/forums/thread/1017.aspx) from the 47th Television Drama Academy Awards.

Gone public with older actress


Looks like Japanese rebel boy Kazuya Kamenashi has gone public with his relationship with older actress Kyoko Koizumi.


The couple grabbed eyeballs two weeks ago when they attended the launch of a fashion label's new season collection in Tokyo, said Josei Seven magazine.


This was the first time they appeared together in public since news of their May-December romance broke in April last year.


He is 21 years old and she, 41.


Kyoko was clad in a black dress with nothing else to conceal her identity, while Kazuya dressed down in a T-shirt with jeans complete with baseball cap and black-rimmed glasses.


They browsed the boutique together and spoke in hushed tones, oblivious to the stares they drew.


There is also talk that Kazuya, who is part of the popular boy band Kat-tun, was unhappy with the massive attention showered on the return of fellow member Jin Akanishi in late April, after a short study stint.


Maybe going public with Kyoko is his way of getting back at his agency, who has rejected his plans to get married. But it has backfired.


The website Sina.com reported that Kazuya's fans are now lashing out at Kyoko for using their idol as a publicity tool for her new album slated for release in July.

KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya (21), Tanaka Koki (/forums/p/1319/6467.aspx#6467)(21) and MA (Musical Academy)'s Yara Tomoyuki (24) held the musical "Dream Boys" yesterday, September 6th at Tokyo's Teikoku Gekijou at Marunouchi .


As the lead role, Kamenashi performed various mid-air stunts such as wall flying and spinning at high speed. Kamenashi joked that he is the only person in Japan whose feet aren't touching the ground.

NEWS member Yamashita Tomohisa (/forums/p/934/4027.aspx#4027) (22) also appeared at the musical, and together with Kamenashi, performed their song "Seishun Amigo" as the duo "Shuuji to Akira".

This winter, NTV is airing a drama adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's manga series "One-Pound Gospel." The drama will star KAT-TUN's Kazuya Kamenashi.



"One-Pound Gospel" combines sports, romance, and comedy. Kosaku
Hatanaka (Kamenashi) is a skilled boxer who turned pro at the age of
19, but he finds himself facing a string of defeats due to his
inability to control his appetite, which always puts him in a heavier
weight class. One day after losing a match, he wanders into a church
where he meets a naive, fledgling nun, and he immediately finds himself
interested in her.



The series is scheduled for broadcast on Saturdays at 9:00pm, starting in January.

I felt bad when I browsed about this May-December love affair of Kazuya. I felt so bad, honestly. well I am not that much of a Kame fan, but this rumour hits me real hard. I don't know, its maybe because he has an affair with a woman 20 years his senior and he's really rebelling about Bakanishi's comeback to Japan. I am quite new about kat-tun fangirling and stuffs so i guess the fangirl in me rebels as much as Kazuya's rumored rebellion against JE.

It was made known on Tuesday that Kazuya Kamenashi (http://www.tokyograph.com/info/Kazuya_Kamenashi) (23) will appear in a guest role in the new TBS drama series "MR.BRAIN" that stars SMAP (http://www.tokyograph.com/info/SMAP)'s Takuya Kimura (http://www.tokyograph.com/info/Takuya_Kimura) (36). It will be the first time the two act together in a project.

Kamenashi expressed his happiness about the opportunity. "I'm really happy to be called upon for my senpai's drama. On the set, I'm quite nervous but having fun. I'm grateful towards Kimura-kun." He also explained, "I couldn't have imagined acting together with Kimura-kun. I have to work hard and do my best."

Kimura was also positive. "I was really happy to hear that Kamenashi was coming in. I hope that he enjoys this view of the world." He then added in a compliment, "And above all, Kamenashi looks good in whatever he wears."

The series, which premieres on May 23, features Kimura as a neuroscientist who helps solve cases for the National Police Agency. Kamenashi will appear in the third episode (June 6), playing the role of a young elite doctor of a university hospital where a murder takes place.

in my honest opinion, kahit fave ko si kame da turtle i think me ibang celebs ang mas magandang magdala ng jeans. kung ako ang tatanungin isa sa main category yung kahit mukhang basahan ung style ng jeans pag sinuot ng particular na celeb, -- magmumukhang bonggang bonggang fashionable pa ren, at syempre dahil sikat ang nagpauso, me bandwagon effect sa mga tao, fans man o hindi.

kataon lang siguro na na-win nya yung role due to his popularity-- inspite of his previously flop dramas ;

150 Johnny's Members Compete in Sports: Kamenashi and Nakamaru MVPs!

On December 13th at Tokyo Dome the 'Johnny's Selected Members Large Sports Festival (ジャニーズ選抜大運動会)' was held for the first time in 5 years. A total of 150 Johnny's members participated, including Kondo Masahiko, Nakai Masahiro, Domoto Koichi, Takizawa Hideaki, KAT-TUN and Johnny's Jr. They were divided into two teams and competed in various sports. J-RED was led by Takizawa, and Kamenashi was leader of J-WHITE.

The MVP for baseball was Kamenashi Kazuya, and for soccer it was Nakamaru Yuichi; both are members of KAT-TUN. For baseball it was a close game, with J-WHITE starter Kamenashi and J-RED relief pitcher Nakayama Yuma performing superbly. At the top of the sixth inning (final inning), J-WHITE was leading 3 to 2. With two outs and runners on first and second, the J-RED batter was Nakayama. Kamenashi struck him out with a mean fastball, successfully pitching a complete game and leading J-WHITE to a victory. There was great competition between members in their teens and 20s, and both sides were never ready to concede victory without a good fight.

Kondo and Nakai were surprise guests. Nakai, who participated in the baseball game, constantly chided the younger Johnny's members. Even the KAT-TUN members were forced to go on the defensive, with Tanaka being told "You've too many ear piercings.", while Taguchi Junnosuke was derided "Your smile looks fake." Nakamaru was told "You don't have any features that stand out."
Nakamaru commented about becoming the MVP for soccer. "In a way I was pretty serious. I've always told the other KAT-TUN members that I was good at soccer because I had played the sport for 7 years. I'm glad I was able to prove that claim." The baseball MVP Kamenashi beamed. "I feel happy that we got to strengthen our bonds through sports." Takizawa said "We should do this again next year." Might there be a chance for the festival to become an annual winter event?

KAT-TUN Kamenashi Encountered Earth Quake when Wearing Nothing but Pants!


From the drama "Kami no Shizuku", the musical "DREAM BOYS" to the movie "GOKUSEN (THE MOVIE)", KAT-TUN member Kazuya Kamenashi seemed to be more active as solo than in the group in 2009. Though he had rare private time, he revealed the "TOP3 Major Private Events" in the radio program "Kase by Kase of Kazuya Kamenashi". He had a lot of fun in playing golf in Okinawa during the concert, going to hot spring trip with parents, and playing baseball as a professional player. You may know the first and third one from musicJAPANplus news. But what's episode of his hot spring trip?

A few days ago, Kamenashi visited his parents in the suburb when attending relative's wedding ceremony. Because the relative liked the opening song "YOU" of the drama "Suppli" by KAT-TUN, Kamenashi was supposed to sing the song at the end of the ceremony as a surprise. His parents left the hotel earlier to the wedding venue, and Kamenashi can put on his outfit at leisure. However... "It was 3p.m. and we were living on the 7th floor. I just brushed my teeth and took a bath in the hot spring. The hotel was quite old...and all of a sudden, a seismic intensity 3 earth quake occurred! The building shook a lot when I was brushing the teeth and washing my face! I was really scared." Just as he said, on the 7th floor of an old building, it will shake quite severely under the seismic intensity 3 earth quake! The problem is Kamenashi was only wearing a pair of pants and was totally not prepared! So he learned a lesson from the incident: "You should put on your clothes even when you wash your face, so that you can flee as soon as possible!" That's right but...it seems he is a little bit out of focus...(laugh) It is heartwarming for a steady person like Kamenashi emphasize on such a thing, isn't it?
By the way, about one month ago, in the same program, Kamenashi said: "Of course it is different from standing in front of the guests, in the spotlight with KAT-TUN's style. I was very nervous when I was told to sing a song on wedding ceremony!" I really want to know how everything went about the surprise plan!

lighting, effect, ang ganda! pati yung water exhibition na fountain. then yung pakulo nyang palipad lipad sa ere at paglutang na tinatapakan yung fountain ng tubig, giving the viewer an illusion that the fountain of water lifts him in the air.

tsk.. lagi na lang ako nasusurpresa sa production ni kame da turtle :blink: SHEEP! ang pretty talaga ng face nya at nadagdagan ang feminine-bishounen appeal nya dun sa suot nyang red and black costume, parang yung samurai nung old age ng japan. at syempre yung karengkeng nyang kilos na parang bading, pero implying a seductive pretty boy next door -- mga edo era nga lang ang counterpart :laugh: sa kanya yung pinakamagastos at expressive na production number, syempre kanya n rin ang pinakamaganda. ang bongga ng pakulo e.

I want to let you know that woman’s charms lies not in the appearance

A young lady, who has a complex because she's frequently being called ugly, becomes a person who loves darkness and solitude. In order to transform her into a fine lady, four guys will struggle in this love comedy “Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge”. Kamenashi Kazuya, of course, will act as Takano Kyouhei who himself has a large complex.

I think everyone has their own complexes. Me too around the time when I played baseball, I was continuously being told that “your body is small”, I felt really mortified. Thus, I tried to drink milk every day; I practiced longer with the ball, more than anyone else. Even now I frequently think “Why that person can do that, and I can’t?” However, for this reason, I could give my all. If I am asked whether I have climb over to perfection, sometimes the efforts didn’t give me (the expected) results; even so these efforts will for sure become the source of power. I am determined not to be a captured by negative thoughts.

He commented that “ Kyouhei is a high hurdle role” with a bitter smile. At any rate, Kyouhei’s complex is “too beautiful”.

Am I similar? I wonder whether I am this No.1 wanted guy to be frozen in ice(to be preserved). I will never say that I am (laugh). I don’t really think that I am similar to Kyohei, rather I want to be told to be similar to him. Chance to play this kind of strong character doesn’t come often, I am gratefully accepting this role and I want to enjoy acting for this role.

Troubles and laughters(?!) are to be anticipated. This is a battle for a metamorphosis of a lady, if it’s yourself what would you do?

In order to have people opening their hearts to me, I think I will share my experience and take them to various places. First is to escape from isolating self from the world. And, I want to let you know that woman’s charms lies not only in appearance. Only with a small gentleness, or attentiveness, men will simply go “kyun” (laugh). In order to have confidence in front of the people, try to focus in your own craft. I myself anxious how Kyouhei will conquer his complex (laugh).

To remove my own character frame!
For now, I want to do my best in this production that will adorn the start of this one year. To play as Kyouhei who is a very powerful and strong man. On Monday, NTV held its regular press conference to talk about its programming schedule changes for the spring. Among the announcements, NTV revealed its replacement for the sports show "SUPER Urugusu," which will feature a regular role for KAT-TUN's Kazuya Kamenashi (24).

KAT-TUN member Kazuya Kamenashi (亀梨和也) was selected to throw the ceremonial first pitch of Nippon Professional Baseball.
The opening match was between Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles and Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, and was held in Miyagi. Kamenashi, who showed his talented baseball skill in Johnny's sports meeting, was about to throw a wonderful first pitch against the batter Takeshi Yamazaki. However, it turned out to be a hit by pitch. And Yamazaki who was leaning back suddenly flopped on his back. He lied on the ground with a smile, threw away his bat, and had lime stuck on his back. Later, he bended his arm on Kamenashi's shoulder and laughed together. Maybe it was a little regret for Kamenashi as well.

Actress Riisa Naka saw Kazuya Kamenashi's naked body

Well, not exactly but close. The two recently appeared on Music Station, where actress Riisa Naka revealed that while they were costarring for the drama “Kami no Shizuku“, which aired back in 2009, Kazuya Kamenashi stood in front of her wearing an apron over his nude body. Apparently, she was asked “When you costarred with Kamenashi, what kind of interesting scene of him did you see and why?” Her answer was “I saw him wearing an apron over the nude body….”

It seem that none of the KAT-TUN members knew about this, as several of them appeared surprised and shouted, “Really?! Are you kidding me?!” with Kouki Tanaka screaming “Hadaka apron?!” (naked apron in Japanese) several times. Kamenashi later explained, “Oh yes that one. It was a character usually wearing suits. And once I had to cook, and I cooked in the studio. However the white shirts were stained by the oil, so I took it off.”

He emphasized that the staff had given him an apron and to reassure everyone, he said “I was wearing pants at that time! It was suit pants.”

KAT-TUN’s Kamenashi Kazuya throws opening pitch at Yokohama Stadium

KAT-TUN member, Kamenashi Kazuya showed up at Yokohama Stadium to throw the opening pitch on 20th.

The game was between the Yokohama BayStars and Hanshin Tigers.

Kamenashi first threw an inside pitch at 92 kilo meters, however, the infielder of the Yokohama BayStars, Uchikawa Seiichi, could not swing because the pitch was too close inside. As a demand of Uchikawa, Kamenashi threw another pitch, a strike at 94 kilo meters.

After the pitch, Kamenashi with a big smile, shook hands with Uchikawa.
